Putting the wheels in motion for successful bathroom pod delivery

In the last 12 months Hickory’s Sync bathroom pod business has gone from strength to strength, taking on several new projects and continually refining and improving process and product.

Instrumental to this success has been the support of the plant hire division, who have developed a significant logistics capability for the company transporting not only the Sync bathroom product but also thousands of square meters of façade, plant and other materials and equipment to Hickory sites.

Last weekend the new fleet of vehicles was put to the test, transporting 36 Sync bathrooms to John Holland’s Sydney University student accommodation project.

Loading up 3 semis the team made the 1000km journey to central Sydney, where Hickory pods will be stored in a holding yard 3km from site and shuttled to the Abercrombie site as required.

The establishment of a logistics division within the Hickory business is assisting Hickory to continue to set a high standard for delivery whilst maintaining tight control of project cost and schedule.
