George graduated from a Construction Management degree with 1st class honors and has managed major projects for some of Australia’s largest building firms. His stakeholder management skills continue to deliver outstanding results for Hickory, where he takes pride in leading by example, working together with his teams to get the job done.

Steve Stavrou

Commercial Director

Strong communicator and negotiator with attuned business acumen. 

Steve uses his broad industry experience established over 25 years to oversee design management, contract evaluation and negotiation, buildability, procurement and trade packaging, and provides financial and administrative leadership.

Kin Law

Estimating Director

Expertise to provide sound strategies and achieve accurate results.

Kin is responsible for leading the acquisition of new contracts for the Group. He has worked for some of the biggest names in the Asia-Pacific property and construction sector throughout his 25-year career, and possesses a unique skill in simplifying complicated tasks, providing sound strategies and achieving accurate results for clients.

Michael Perdikaris

Construction Manager

Michael's experience leading major construction projects ensures all opportunities and risks are quickly identified and skillfully managed. He instils confidence in all key stakeholders by ensuring all projects maintain a high degree of quality and are delivered on time and budget.

With local and international experience and success, Steve Cahill brings invaluable knowledge gained working on a large-scale residential, commerical and government developments.

Andrew McGowan

Construction Manager

Andrew oversees the overall delivery and management of large scale construction projects. His expertise has been gained working on high-rise residential and commercial towers, and various retail and industrial projects throughout his career. 

Chris Ong

Commercial Director, Sync Building Systems

Expert Commercial Management across Construction, Infrastructure and Prefabricated projects.

Chris has successfully led large-scale public and private projects in Australia and the UK across the residential, government and infrastructure sectors. He is now concentrating 20 years commercial management experience on Hickory’s extensive prefabricated bathroom business, leading the delivery of new modular projects across Australia.

Eddie Pallotta

Operations Director, Sync Building Systems

Engineering superior bathroom solutions for the construction industry.

Sync simplifies the highest risk area of a construction project with an expertly engineered, fully manufactured solution.  Eddie has utilised a combination of international automotive manufacturing experience, degrees in mechanical and metallurgical engineering and project experience within Hickory’s Construction division to develop this market leading new product.

As Hickory’s in-house General Counsel, Poly has an impressive portfolio of experience in the construction and engineering sector, from a $600m engineering procurement and construction contract for one of the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturers, to multi-million dollar arbitration disputes and contract agreements.

Danny Pegorin

Façades Manager

Leading façade design, fabrication and installation for over 30 years.

Danny has worked on many of Melbourne’s most high profile projects for some of the world’s largest international façade companies, and possesses an unrivalled knowledge of window, curtain wall, steel and aluminum façade systems.  He now leads an extensive team of local and offshore specialists to design, procure, fabricate and install facades across all of Hickory’s projects.

Liz Holzschuster

Health Safety Environment & Quality Manager

Experienced safety, quality and environment practitioner with more than 20 years in the construction industry

Liz has experienced all phases of construction, including tendering and site establishment, civil, structure and fit-out works, defect management and project handover. She is a lead auditor who has experience in the implementation and management of AS4801, ISO14001 and ISO9001 certified management systems, and is also a Green Star Accredited Professional.

Mark Taranto

Customer Care Manager

Mark leads Hickory's dedicated Customer Care division and ensures prompt and high quality service is provided regarding any building works concerns. 

Mathew Foden

Strategic Projects Manager

Managing strategic projects, developments and new business initiatives. 

Mathew leads Hickory's internal property developments including; feasibility assessments, joint venture opportunities and finance negotiations. As well as general project, design and business management for a range of new business ventures and strategic projects.

The face of Hickory

Managing Hickory’s busy head office, Sammy welcomes staff and visitors with a contagious smile. Sammy uses initiative to organise office operations and procedures and is the main point of contact for pretty much everything, making her an invaluable part of the team.

 

With a background in hospitality, Sammy makes a killer barista coffee, bringing energy and a bit of fun to the office.

With over 15 years’ experience in IT, Craig leads Hickory’s multidisciplinary team of IT Specialists. Responsible for overseeing the discovery, implementation and operation of Hickory’s digital platforms and infrastructure, Craig has a passion for continuous improvement and is always on the lookout for cutting edge technology.
