Quality Assurance Officer

Hickory Group is leading the way in manufacturing precast panels for our residential and commercial projects, as well as servicing our growing number of clients. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer with a high attention to detail to perform and ensure the delivery of quality Hickory Building Systems (HBS) manufactured products.

About the role

As a Quality Officer, you will be required to work in and alongside the precast factory, driving the quality of production and ensuring quality construction. You will have prior experience in QA, working with various labourers and ideally worked in a precast environment. This is a program sensitive environment and you will be required to work within strict timeframes.

You will be required to:

  • Complete PFMEA’s for all manufacturing processes
  • Lead the root cause analysis of all quality issues identified throughout the production process
  • Follow-up all quality issues raised by the QA Manager, Production Manager, Customer and Site Installation Team
  • Ensure supply quality is to design standard or required specification
  • Develop, implement and administer quality documentation for the production process to ensure effective customer quality assurance and traceability
  • Ensure quality metrics set are met
  • Coordinating and managing defect rectification
  • Contribute to and implement continuous improvement activities
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required


To be successful you are required to have:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/production preferred
  • Construction, manufacturing, steel fixing, concreting knowledge / experience preferred
  • Able to read construction drawings
  • Knowledge and experience using problem solving processes and techniques
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good Teamwork skills
  • Must be self-motivated innovative thinker
  • High standard attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly adapt and overcome/understand new challenges
  • Computer and general technology literacy
