Strategic Project Coordinator

About the Role

Hickory are seeking a talented individual to support the senior management team. You will play a key role in new and strategic projects for the business. Focused primarily on property ventures that support and enhance the core construction business. The extent of this role is beyond traditional development, proven multidisciplinary experience will be highly favoured. Ideally you will have a background in Architecture, Project Management, or a similar discipline.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the delivery of strategic projects from inception to completion;
  • Manage and coordinate 3rd party advisers, consultants and engineers. Including preparing for and running meetings as required;
  • Research new markets and opportunities and assist in the validation of business cases and feasibilities;
  • Review, interpret and coordinate design documentation;
  • Assist in the production and management of financial feasibilities, budgets and forecasts;
  • Prepare monthly project control group reports
  • General document control, including design documentation, research tasks, meeting minutes;

Personal Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Project Management, Property or similar discipline preferred;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related field;
  • Outstanding critical thinking and problem solves capabilities;
  • Ability to quickly adapt and overcome/understand new challenges;
  • Accurate and with a keen eye for detail;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to manage your own time to deliver on your promises;
  • A passion for understanding, learning and exploring new things;
  • Understanding of the full property development life cycle will be looked upon favourably;
  • A strong work ethic with a continuing enthusiasm and desire to contribute business success;
