POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Structural Surveyor to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the accurate setting out, measurement, and verification of structural elements on site. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and work with complex design documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set out structural elements based on concrete profile plans.
  • Interpret and review design documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and assess precast, structural steel and post tensioning shop drawings for alignment with project specifications.
  • Conduct as-built surveys to verify installation, accuracy, and adherence to design.
  • Establish and transfer control points, grids, transfer RL’s to maintain dimensional accuracy throughout the project.
  • Set out grids and ensure correct positioning of structural components.
  • Utilize CAD software proficiently to assist in design interpretation and import points into total stations for junior surveyors as required.

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in structural surveying within large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience with modern surveying equipment (e.g., total stations).
  • Strong understanding of CAD software and the ability to import/export survey points.
  • Ability to review and interpret precast and post-tensioning documentation.
  • Experience in setting out grids and working with control points.
  • Proficiency in conducting as-built surveys to confirm construction accuracy.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.
  • A background in working with structures and facades, or experience in a company that self-performs these elements, providing valuable context and an understanding of the specific challenges in these areas.
