Designed by Bates Smart, the hotel consists of 264 guest rooms, built on a 9-storey heritage federation free style warehouse known as ‘Tyne House’ constructed in 1915-1916.

Wentworth Avenue Hotel comprises of a 19 storey hotel tower, including dining on level 18 and a rooftop bar, as well as a ground floor lobby with an adjacent bar and cafe.

Basement comprising of kitchen and back-of-house staff facilities.

Heritage façade was retained to level 10, with 9 new floors added.

The site is a consolidation of two separate sites, including the retention of a 9 storey Federation.

Archaeologist works took place prior to demolition to carefully remove any artefacts.

The oldest known kiln in Australia was found on this site.
