SYNC wins contracts to manufacture over 3,360 new pods

Some of Australia’s largest builders have recently contracted SYNC to manufacture 3,360 bathroom pods for various projects in New South Wales and Victoria.

Deicorp Constructions has contracted a total of 638 bathroom pods between stage 1 and 2 of the development of South Village, built in the heart of Kirrawee. This major mixed-use development by Deicorp and designed by Turner Architects comprises of 7 buildings including 749 apartments and 14,000 sqm of retail space, the project team has decided to streamline the delivery and guarantee quality by utilising SYNC.  Delivery of the high-quality bathroom pods commenced in October 2017.

Deicorp Constructions has also contracted 529 bathroom pods for another major development, Grand H apartments in Hurstville NSW. Delivery of the high quality bathrooms to the Hurstville site will commence late 2017, with the apartments due for completion in 2018. 

Having forged a successful partnership delivering bathroom pods to the prestigious V by Crown and Crown Ashfield, SYNC has been contracted by builder developers Crown Group to manufacture a further 495 pods for upcoming project infinity. Infinity is Crown Group’s most ambitious architectural challenge featuring a curved façade of glass and aluminium, encasing two levels of retail and 18 levels of luxurious apartments. Using pods in the construction process reduced fit-out cycles, better on-site trade co-ordination and improved quality control allowing the project to be due for completion in 2019.

SYNC’s experience in providing quality bathrooms in the Student Accommodation sector allows construction to soar at optimum efficiency.

Our very own Hickory has contracted 639 pods for the development of 50 Latrobe Street Student Accommodation. At 150m tall, it is one of the world’s tallest prefabricated Student Accommodation projects and is reducing construction time by up to 30% by finishing the bathrooms to completion off-site, in parallel with on-site construction works.

Citta Property Group also contracted Sync for their latest Purpose-Built Student Accommodation developed by Buildcorp. St Pauls College in Camperdown, New South Wales, will utilise 209 bathroom pods and a first for SYNC, innovatively designing the exterior of the pod to also include a kitchenette, tea point or storage cupboards for convenience and space-saving.  The bathrooms are manufactured off-site with all plumbing, lighting, joinery, wall and floor coverings ready for integration into the build to ensure more efficiency during the build.

Another construction giant, Hacer Group, has engaged SYNC to deliver 588 bathroom pods for Melbourne’s newest purpose-built student accommodation, Iglu Franklin.  Set across two towers of 9 and 23 storeys respectively, the buildings will include 594 beds as well as interconnected study and social areas, utilising SYNC Bathroom pods has significantly reduced the production timeline for this project allowing for completion to be due in mid-2018.

Pelham Street Student Accommodation built by Infinity Constructions and developed by GSA Australia will provide an additional 244 beds to further cater the ever growing student accommodation sector in Carlton. SYNC have been contracted to provide 262 bathroom pods for this 13 storey project, encompassing 4 different bathroom designs.
