Design Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Design Coordinator to support the delivery of design across key construction projects. Working closely with Design Managers, consultants, and project teams, you’ll help coordinate design documentation, ensure alignment with project requirements, and contribute to efficient project outcomes from early stages through to construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in coordinating the design process from planning through to construction
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure design alignment
  • Support design reviews, documentation, and drawing coordination
  • Identify and help resolve design clashes, discrepancies, and buildability issues
  • Contribute to value engineering and cost-effective design solutions
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Participate in design meetings and support communication across stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate design records and documentation

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
  • Experience in contract or project administration, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Confident handling documentation, compliance, and financial processes.
  • Proficient in Excel and systems; experience with job management software advantageous.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration / Management, Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent will be advantageous
