ABOUT THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

Our Graduate Program is a full-time role and is designed to build exposure to commercial building within a workplace that fosters a diverse and positive culture. We are looking for those who are hungry for an opportunity to work on Hickory projects and hone their skills and experience in the Construction Industry. You will be hard-working, driven, professional, know how to build relationships, deliver and meet deadlines, all with humility and from a customer focussed lens.

We’re looking for Building Graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Construction Management, Design (Architecture)/Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent.

Building on our 30 years of experience, we provide the opportunity to work as an important part of a project team while learning and having exposure to experienced industry professionals, training modules and support.

You can expect to perform key roles throughout the life cycle of a project. Your skills, strengths and expertise will be utilised on the project as you are continuously mentored and provided with the relevant support along the way. To be immersed into Hickory’s culture you’ll also have the opportunity to visit all of our projects, meet peers at our industry events and have access to work with different construction techniques.

Hickory has a vertically integrated company structure which includes our own formwork, façade, joinery, crane operations, engineering, precast and bathroom pod (SYNC) manufacturing divisions.

With our self-performing teams, we maintain greater control over project cost, programme, and quality. As a Hickory Graduate you will develop a comprehensive understanding of construction fast tracking your professional development, learning and career. You will learn to be a real builder.

The Program comprises 5 x Compulsory Core Modules, “Learning Bites” with industry leading subcontractors and suppliers and professional skills training. The Program will allow you to gain a wide understanding of each key area of the construction business.
