Hickory diversifies into launching Hickory Data Centres. HDC has employed a highly skilled team to run a dedicated operation and buying land in western Melbourne for its first facility.
Michael Argyrou said HDC has evolved quickly and construction of a 36-megawatt data centre on a 3.5-hectare site will start later this year pending development approval of plans.
Chief Executive Officer Joel O’Halloran said the vision is to build, lease and operate hyper-scale data centres for major cloud service providers or e-commerce companies.
