Hickory is proud to announce our appointment as head contractors on two of Melbourne’s most prestigious new residential developments, Collins House and Opera.
Both projects are for developers Golden Age and Asian Pacific Group, with architecture by Bates Smart and Project Management by Time and Place Property.
Collins House, located in Collins Street Melbourne, incorporates the heritage façade of Melbourne’s historic Maker’s Mark building and comprises 271 luxury apartments and exclusive residents facilities over 60 levels. Hickory was largely awarded the contract for Collins House by recommending the use of our unique Hickory Building Systems construction method to deliver the building structure, allowing development of the small site footprint to be delivered more efficiently than a conventional formwork approach would allow. Opera Melbourne, situated on St Kilda Road, features an iconic glass faced that undulates upward across the building’s 19 levels. Comprising 228 premium apartments, the development will also offer boutique hotel style amenities for residents, including private dining areas, pool, gym, temperature controlled wine cellar and the services of a private concierge, personal trainer, yoga instructor, art curator and sommelier.
