BENDIGO’S newest hotel has sprung up almost overnight.
The Hickory Group had said it would take seven days to put up the 66 pre-fab modules for the new 128-room Art Series hotel in Lucan Street.
Instead, it took just six days. Project manager Travis Budd was tired but happy they’d beaten the deadline.
“Everyone worked really hard to complete it on time,” he said. “We had to put in a few long days but I’m pretty happy with it,” he said.
The hotel is to open in May.
