The Property Council of Australia announced, that Hickory is a State and National finalist in the Award for Development Innovation, with our project La Trobe Tower.
Designed by Rothelowman, developed by Longriver Investments and managed by Sinclair Brook, Melbourne the 44 level, residential project is Australia’s tallest tower to use extensive prefabricated elements in the build process.
Using Hickory’s innovative construction method, and the introduction of integrated structural prefabrication, a proprietary façade system and bathroom pods, the project was delivered 30% faster (19 month as opposed to 26 month program)
Extensive 3D modelling and design validation phase, employing BIM software was also used to map the structure and consolidate building spatials.
The patented interlocking façade system engineered enabled the fitting of the curtain-wall façade to the structure off-site, gaining on time and quality and ensuring greater site safety.
