Hickory’s Sync bathroom manufacturing division recently completed its first student accommodation project, a 200-pod job for builders John Holland in Sydney.
The 200-bed University of Sydney Abercrombie student accommodation development utilised pods for the project fit-out, with production-taking place in Sync’s Melbourne factory between October and February for a just-in-time on-site delivery in Sydney that was integrated with the builder’s construction sequence.
Using Sync pods on the project enabled the specification of quality Kerlite tile finishes for the dorms, achieving better quality and aesthetics compared to the previously specified vinyl coverings.
The entire Sync team, from design and engineering to manufacturing, project management and logistics worked well to successfully deliver this high quality project. Congratulations to all involved.
