Hickory is honoured to have been named the State Government of Victoria’s Large Manufacturer of the Year at a gala event in Melbourne on May 26.
The Manufacturing Hall of Fame awards were established in 2001 to celebrate manufacturing excellence in Victoria.
The awards acknowledge individuals and companies whose innovation, creativity and drive help to make Victoria’s manufacturing sector competitive.
Representatives from our Hickory Building Systems and Sync Bathroom Pod business were on hand to collect the award for our prefabricated building products division, which proudly manufactures high quality, large-scale modular components from our factory in Brooklyn, Victoria.
As one of Australia’s largest, most established construction companies, it is an incredible achievement to also be recognised as a fully-fledged manufacturer. It is a testament to the hard work, perseverance and ingenuity of the entire Hickory family that has made this transition possible.
Minister for Industry, Lily D’Ambrosio was on hand to present the awards, stating “The Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame awards recognise the challenges ahead for the manufacturing sector by promoting innovation, growth and excellence in manufacturing.”
